Five By Two Is Family
Everything started with “the fam” because we were, literally, a family when the kids just started out playing cover songs in little bars and hovels around town..
But the meaning has grown tremendously since then, and “the fam” now includes so many of the wonderful people we call friends; people we’ve met at venues, in other bands, attending shows, working as technicians and staff, or touring through. These people mean the world to us now, and we have, and will continue to, opened our ears to hear what they have to say, and opened our doors for them to come hang, and made a place at our table for them to come eat, and opened our hearts for them to live inside.

Eoghan McCarthy
Recording & Mixing Engineer, Live Sound Director, Equipment & Gear Manager
Label Band: The Light Inside Me Is Dead

Eoghan has been live mixing bands since he was 15 years old, including working as primary sound technician for Rock Off Main Street, The Raven, and as a dedicated stagehand for Big Night Live in Boston. He’s worked on numerous boards and configurations, digital and analog, and live-mixed for loads of touring bands traveling in New England. He now brings this skillset and his unique gifts for creative engineering to the family. Every mic, every cable, every head, every cab, and every kit is managed, tuned, maintained, and setup for studio and live sessions by Eoghan. Also, he is PACMAN when it comes touring vans, and labels everything in the universe.
Giuliana McCarthy
Lighting Director, Drum Technician, Acoustic Sessions Promoter

Primary Instruments: drums
When she was 15, Giuliana was given a mass of wires, lights, and mixing boards and was told to “make it work” for shows. And she did. Everything related to lighting for live shows, and live sessions in studio, is managed by Giuliana. In addition, as part of the live crew, she takes on drum management when needed. Finally, as a concert promoter, she runs a series of chill acoustic sessions that are always a huge success.
Fin McCarthy

Fin has been performing as the front-person for her bands since she was 8, and has brought that confidence gained so early in life to the family in driving all of the merchandising and marketing decisions related to the label, as well as working with Aaron to generate and edit and produce almost all of the material Five By Two puts out.
Edmee McCarthy
Five By Two Crew Member, Website Designer, Live Show Stage Manager, Roadie

Primary Instruments: bass, keyboard
Edmee is an invaluable member of the Five By Two crew, filling every role needed by the team, whether it’s by running a light show, pulling drum racks off-stage in between sets, or managing set times at live shows. She is also the webmaster for this entire site, and manages all of the content and presentation of it.
Declan McCarthy
Five By Two Crew Member, Studio Gear Technician, Live Lighting Technician, Roadie
Primary Instruments: bass, guitar
As the youngest member of the crew, Declan fills a ton of thankless roles for Five By Two, assisting in setting up the studio for sessions, hauling gear on- and off-stage at live shows, being roadie for all the label bands, and managing lights for live shows and for label band performances.
Emma Bain

Primary instruments: guitar, pen, pencil, camera
Emma joined the fam with her band Evil Felipe, and has since been a contributor with original artistic content and direction for album imagery, photography, and video production.
